Lotus Lain is a force to be reckoned with. We were so happy to sit down for a free-flow conversation with her/Free Speech Coalition last week on our Instagram live. She shared her experience with growing as content creator, how she found her community and her work as an Adult Industry Advocate.
Our conversation covered topics like:
- How to practice everyday advocacy
- How to find pride in your work
- How to find your community
- How to stay updated with the changes of the industry
If you want to check out the live, you can find it here on our Fancentro Youtube Channel.
To get alllll of the info you’ll have to watch the IG live but we wanted to share with you some of the resources Lotus offered for staying up to date with articles you can trust that industry professionals are writing to keep you in the loop!
If you feel like you’ve lost a bit of technological touch with new things happening:
Check out Industry Trade Magazines!
Industry trade magazines like XBIZ, are really great for business focused articles. Here you’ll find great insight from Webmasters, and people in touch with the logistics and algorithms behind paywalls. Lotus shared how important it is for us to know who these people are, to understand what they’re thinking about, what they have their pulse on, what their concerns are.
XBIZ World will have a lot of info coming straight from ‘industry people’ talking about the trends they’re working on/dealing with within our industry.
AVN has great articles that are more performer/production focused. This is a great resource if you want to become a more “mainstream” performer. Here you can find the trends popping up when it comes to new directors & stars.
