Email Marketing for Content Creators

Email marketing is a great alternative to social media marketing. It’s a great way to inform your followers about new sales, which platforms they can find you on and more. Not only that, but it’s a stable medium to communicate through with them and it even helps with customer loyalty. For these reasons and more, as a content creator, it’s very important for you to work on your email marketing. But if this is the first time you hear of email marketing and you don’t know where to start. Don’t worry! Today at FanCentro we’re gonna go through the basics of email marketing and how you can get started as a content creator.

What is email marketing?

Email marketing is a form of direct marketing that uses email to promote your business’s products or services. It can help make your customers aware of your latest items or offers. It can also play a pivotal role in teaching them about your brand or keeping them engaged between purchases, improving customer loyalty.

As a content creator you can communicate with your fans through emails to inform them about new offers or sales, build customer loyalty and market your business outside of social media. In fact, 87% of marketers consider their email marketing as successful as it’s #1 in conversion rates (which means that it’s the best method in converting fans into clients as they feel special receiving an email and are more likely to click and check out and even purchase new products or services).

Benefits of email marketing

We all know the benefits of social media marketing, but sometimes we underestimate the importance and efficiency of email marketing.. So why should you start email marketing?

Let’s take a look at the benefits of email marketing:

  • Allows you to send personalised content/messages
  • Helps build credibility and customer loyalty
  • Boost sales and revenue (more sales = more money!)
  • Builds customer relationship (making it more likely for them to buy again)
  • Increases traffic (visits) to your profile and pages
  • Builds excitement with new offers (making it more probable that they will buy quickly, driving sales)

Lastly, as a content creator, it’s very important to be in charge of your brand and communication with your followers. This is why email marketing is crucial as it allows you to keep them in one area that will not go away. For example, before Instagram there was Facebook and before that it was MySpace… Social media keep changing and even changing its regulations like OnlyFans did, but by having an email list you can keep your communication with your followers and let them know which platform they can find you on, what new sales you are offering and more.

How to start your own newsletter

So, you understand the benefits of email marketing and want to start but don’t know where… No worries! We have your back babe! It’s really easy to start your own email newsletter.

Follow these easy steps to start marketing yourself outside of social media:

1. Choose an email marketing service provider

First you will need to choose an email marketing service provider that will allow you to get your fans to sign up and allow you to design an interesting email and send to all the subscribers. We recommend you research and opt for a free email marketing service provider to begin with.

2. Invite fans to your email marketing list

Now that you’ve set up your email provider, it’s time to invite fans to subscribe to your email list. You can do this by adding a link to your bio on your social media. If you have many links to share with your followers, consider getting linktree, which allows you to share many links.

3. Add your contacts into your email marketing account

Now add your contacts to your email list so that it’s easier to send it to them all at once. If you have a decent email marketing provider, it will group them together for you as soon as they sign up.

4. Set up your welcome email

Once your fans sign up, they will receive a welcome email. In this email you should write a cute and inviting message thanking them for signing up and add some links for them to be entertained with. For example, you can also invite them to your FanCentro page and tell them about an offer you have there. You can also invite them to your twitter account, etc.

5. Create a reusable email template

The easiest and quickest way to make emails is to create a reusable email template and change the content each time you send an email. For example, you can create a free email template on canva that you can later change the photos and update your fans on new sales and send it again. You can do weekly emails or monthly, it’s really up to you!

Here are some ways you can get them to sign up:

  • Offer a special sale if they sign up to your newsletter
  • Offer a small free product if they sign up to your newsletter
